Fourth (or rather first) marriage of Joseph Fairholm of Derby / Ceylon / Canada (05.12.2004)

By chance we came across a newspaper article recently from 1896 which reports the divorce of Joseph from Annie Mary (nee Webster). It seems that Joseph married her only a few days before leaving for India in November 1890, but divorced her after reports of unfaithfulness.

Names included John & Barbara Fairholme, Joseph Fairholme who married Ada Knighton, Ada Fairholme who married Samuel Jackson, Joseph & Florence Ann Smedley Fairholme and Joseph & Annie Maude Fairholme. Some of these Josephs seem to be the same man. Addresses included Station Road (a family home for over 25 years), Green Lane and Devonshire Avenue.
